Acne is a common skin disease that especially affects teens. It is caused by changes in the skin structure (both in the hair follicle and the associated sebaceous glands). Acne is what common man calls ‘pimple’, ‘zit’ etc. Acne occurs mainly in the bridge of the nose and forehead, although back, neck etc are also places were it mostly affects. Acne is generally noninflammatory forms but some severe acne is inflammatory. It sometimes affects a person’s confidence and self-esteem and makes them socially insecure. Acne can be treated by medicine, regulated diet etc.
